	I love the Heritage bedspread. I\'ve had other ones, cheaper ones, with the center medallion, but bought this one as an heirloom piece for the twin bed in the spare bedroom. I love the less formal, more modern design. The quality is wonderful. The spread has a smooth feel to it. I am seriously considering buying the same spread for my own bedroom! Still torn with the Queen Elizabeth -- it\'s going to be a close call. But I cannot recommend this one enough. Quality through and through in a relatively informal design. I got a Martha Washington spread from my grandmaother as a wedding gift 43 years ago. What a wonderful present. It lasted so long because of the high quality. As we move into our retirement home I was glad to be able to order the Spirit of America. Top quality and made in the USA. I\'m ordering John Adams in a king size today. Customer service from this company is great! Proud to be from Maine even though I live in California today. Keep up the good work. The Heritage is an excellent quality bedspread. Beautiful design. Customer service was very helpful in answering my questions and sending sample fabrics. I purchased the Abigail Adams bedspread and shams several years ago and i am still in love with it. The people at the Bates Mill were so nice when I ordered it the first time, it came in a blue and an off white color. I had to send it back. I called them and advised them why I had to send it back, that I needed it in white and blue. They said that was not a problem and they would make it for me. I have had many people that have admired my spread and have given the web site to them. I will buy more items from them, as I need them. Great job and thank you. We purchased the Heritage (queen) bedspread (Sage) and have really enjoyed it. The quality is superior and the fit is exceptional. The bedspread is perfect for the hot summers. It is very easy to make and brightens the room. We LOVE it. I have and still use a \"George Washington\'s Choice\" that was a gift to my parents in 1958, after our home burned. It\'s still in wonderful condition, even though its been used and washed countless times. It\'s a full size, but makes a wonderful coverlet on my queen size \"rice bed\" and just looks perfect. People often comment how \"beautiful it is, just perfect for that bed\". When I tell them it\'s over 50 years old, they just stare in disbelief. These are WONDERFUL bedspreads. I can\'t say enough about the best customer service I\'e received from any company not only on-line but over the telephone as well. The Queen coverlet arrived within two days of placing the order. A couple weeks later, I decided to order the shams. I ordered on a Tuesday morning and they arrived the next day! I bought a linen colored Bates bedspread very similar to the Queen Elizabeth several (around 10) years ago. I still love it! This style of spread is practically non-existent in department stores, etc. I\'ve been asked where I got it. I hope it lasts forever!! It was an good investment because it is such a quality product. I purchased my bedspread over a year ago. The Wedgewood blue/white color which offers a great contrast in color and looks very nice. This is a fairly heavy bedspread, well made bedspread with a nice edging. MACHINE WASHABLE and looks great after each wash and I can tell it will last for years and years. I feel sure I remember it from my childhood and I know I used it at times with my own children, though they had Bates bedspreads of their own. At various times we have used it on a regular basis. At that age I knew nothing about bedspreads or quality but I remember seeing it in a store and knew it was something special. My marriage lasted five years- the bedspread has lasted 25-it was the better deal of the two! I don\'t remember when I didn\'t have a Bates Queen Elizabeth bedspread...I am ordering a new King after 15 daily years of use. My twins and doubles aren\'t touched daily and are probably 25 years old! The best and only bedspreads I have ever known!!! I called customer service to inquire about a custom bedspread as I will be using a down comforter underneath and was worried about the spread not reaching the floor. First and foremost, I would like to say I have never had the pleasure of speaking with such a friendly and helpful representative. He gave me the information I needed and I called back to order samples. They came in 2 days! I can\'t wait to order the spread. From the samples, it looks like the quality is very good. I thought I would be getting the Heritage, but now that I see the Martha Washington, I think that\'s the one for me. It so nice knowing there are companies out there such as the Bates Mill Store.
