	I have and still use a \"George Washington\'s Choice\" that was a gift to my parents in 1958, after our home burned. It\'s still in wonderful condition, even though its been used and washed countless times. It\'s a full size, but makes a wonderful coverlet on my queen size \"rice bed\" and just looks perfect. People often comment how \"beautiful it is, just perfect for that bed\". When I tell them it\'s over 50 years old, they just stare in disbelief. These are WONDERFUL bedspreads. I just received this spread and it is so beautiful! Also got the shams to match. I just wanted to say what great customer service this company offers. I got my order in days. I would recommend this company to everyone - the fact that this is made in the U.S. is so wonderful. I give them an A Plus on all counts. Love the Abigail Adams bedspread! It looks fantastic. It was an good investment because it is such a quality product. I purchased my bedspread over a year ago. The Wedgewood blue/white color which offers a great contrast in color and looks very nice. This is a fairly heavy bedspread, well made bedspread with a nice edging. MACHINE WASHABLE and looks great after each wash and I can tell it will last for years and years. I have receive so many compliments about how pretty it looks with my old fashion bed frame. I would recommend this product to friends and family! Remember: buy American products and American\'s work. I\'ve had the Martha Washington\'s Choice bedspread since the late sixties... for years I searched for another one and finally found the Bates store online. The new spread arrived today and I am delighted! The quality is just as it was years ago. Made in America by a quality company. Thank you Bates Mills I bought the Abigail Adams for my own bedroom, after having gotten the Heritage for the spare room. It was a tough call between the Queen Elizabeth, another Heritage \'cause I love it so much -- so I got this one instead! The Abigail Adams fits my room perfectly. Of course, it is the same high quality as the Heritage. These spreads have the most luxurious feel to them -- now I have to find a reason to get the Q.E. I may need an addition to the house! I received a Queen Elizabeth Bedspread as a wedding gift in 1953...that\'s 57 years ago, when it was first produced. It has been used for a majority of those years and is still in GREAT condition... I plan on \'gifting\' it to my favorite granddaughter at her wedding! I purchased the Abigail Adams bedspread and shams several years ago and i am still in love with it. The people at the Bates Mill were so nice when I ordered it the first time, it came in a blue and an off white color. I had to send it back. I called them and advised them why I had to send it back, that I needed it in white and blue. They said that was not a problem and they would make it for me. I have had many people that have admired my spread and have given the web site to them. I will buy more items from them, as I need them. Great job and thank you. I received the Cape Cod bedspread about two weeks ago and I am very impressed. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it is wonderful to sleep under. The construction is of the highest quality; the finish work is superb. If you want a bedspread that you will enjoy for decades, buy this one. Don\'t waste your money on cheap imported imitations. I love the Heritage bedspread. I\'ve had other ones, cheaper ones, with the center medallion, but bought this one as an heirloom piece for the twin bed in the spare bedroom. I love the less formal, more modern design. The quality is wonderful. The spread has a smooth feel to it. I am seriously considering buying the same spread for my own bedroom! Still torn with the Queen Elizabeth -- it\'s going to be a close call. But I cannot recommend this one enough. Quality through and through in a relatively informal design. I called customer service to inquire about a custom bedspread as I will be using a down comforter underneath and was worried about the spread not reaching the floor. First and foremost, I would like to say I have never had the pleasure of speaking with such a friendly and helpful representative. He gave me the information I needed and I called back to order samples. They came in 2 days! I can\'t wait to order the spread. From the samples, it looks like the quality is very good. I thought I would be getting the Heritage, but now that I see the Martha Washington, I think that\'s the one for me. It so nice knowing there are companies out there such as the Bates Mill Store. Good old fashioned quality and customer service. I received my bedspread and I just love it! It is so classic, and beautifully made. I know I will enjoy it for many years. I purchased a beautiful Queen Elizabeth Bedspread in King size and it is beautiful. It looks wonderful in our bedroom. I would highly recommend this spread. You will love it. This bedspread is a gem! It has a certain \"heft\" to it that shouts \"Quality!\" Living on Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay, the Cape Cod was a perfect choice for me, in Wedgewood Blue. To cap it all off, the bedspread is Made in America! You will be so glad you made this bedspread the centerpiece of your bedroom! I looked and looked for a quality bedspread and purchased the Abigail Adams. I have never been more pleased. It still looks new after many washings which are necessary thanks to a large labrador retriever that can\'t resist it either. I feel privileged to own something of this quality. I bought a Heritage Bedspread (or one very similar) in 1975. I was 19 years old and put it in my \'hope chest\'. I still have it and use it. The Bates tag printing has almost disappeared but the bedspread is still, amazingly, in beautiful shape. It is one of my treasures. At that age I knew nothing about bedspreads or quality but I remember seeing it in a store and knew it was something special. My marriage lasted five years- the bedspread has lasted 25-it was the better deal of the two! I don\'t remember when I didn\'t have a Bates Queen Elizabeth bedspread...I am ordering a new King after 15 daily years of use. My twins and doubles aren\'t touched daily and are probably 25 years old! The best and only bedspreads I have ever known!!! The Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful Bedspread. I have enjoyed the beauty of this spread and have had mine for many years. I choose the color, Wedgewood and it is wonderful! I purchased it at JC Pennys years ago. Now I am purchasing another one because mine was lost in the move to my new home. The Queen Elizabeth Bedspread is a pleasure to view. I love it! I have the shams and curtains and valances too. I had to seek out this spread because Penny\'s no longer carries it. I am so grateful to have found Bates Mill Store so that now I can purchase my spread and enjoy it once again. I live in Florida and we sleep with air conditioning each night. I have a Bates spread we use with a sheet for the summer. I feel sure I remember it from my childhood and I know I used it at times with my own children, though they had Bates bedspreads of their own. At various times we have used it on a regular basis. It is still in excellent condition. I am 72 years old. I bought a linen colored Bates bedspread very similar to the Queen Elizabeth several (around 10) years ago. I still love it! This style of spread is practically non-existent in department stores, etc. I\'ve been asked where I got it. I hope it lasts forever!! My husband and I are so happy to find that we can obtain the very same bedspread we bought over fifty years ago -- and are still using. It is only beginning to show its age! We were talking about replacing it and said to each other that we would be pleased to have the same bedspread, never supposing that it would be available! Very pleased with the color and quality of the forest green rib cord bedspreads. They are easy to launder and turn out well. I got a Martha Washington spread from my grandmaother as a wedding gift 43 years ago. What a wonderful present. It lasted so long because of the high quality. As we move into our retirement home I was glad to be able to order the Spirit of America. Top quality and made in the USA. I\'m ordering John Adams in a king size today.
