Basketweave Cotton Blanket

This is my 2nd cotton blanket from Bates - both were beautiful looking and of high quality. Love their bedspreads as well.

I am absolutely obsessed with my Bates Mill basketweave cotton throw blanket. It’s the first blanket I’ve found that closely resembles one I had as a child, instantly bringing back cherished memories. The quality is exceptional—it’s well-crafted, durable, and proudly made in the USA. You can really feel the care that goes into making this blanket.

I often use blankets as secondary pillows, and this one fits the role perfectly. It’s substantial enough to keep you cozy on the couch but light enough to avoid overheating. The balance between warmth and breathability is just right, making it versatile for year-round use.

The only minor drawback is that it takes a few washes (3-4) to completely stop shedding the manufacturing lint, but this is a small inconvenience considering the overall quality. I was initially told the blanket would take 6-8 weeks to arrive, but I received mine in under 14 days, including weekends—a pleasant surprise!

Overall, I’m incredibly happy with this purchase and already planning to buy more Bates Mill products. If you’re looking for a high-quality, nostalgic, and American-made throw, this is it.

Like Everything that Bates Mill store makes, it's very well made and the sizing is great! Before I knew about Bates I would go and purchase Blankets and Bedspreads from department stores. Only to find out they just about fit the bed, like mini skirts. But not at Bates, some times my arms aren't long enough to tuck everything in!

Batters Mill blankets are worth the cost and the wait. They are made in the USA which was important and 100% cotton. We use ours for a light cover in the summer (cool nights) and under our bedspread in the winter….perfect. We now have 3 blankets from Bates Mill!
